Atlanta ranks 16th among best cities for love

If you're looking for love, you could be in the wrong place.

That's because out of the 50 best cities for love, Atlanta ranks No. 16, The Daily Beast reported.

Atlanta scored "A" grades in the emotional health and marriage categories. But for singles and social life, the city managed just a "C" rating. And Atlanta flunked in the divorce category.

The grades were based on data such as high prevalence of marriage, a low incidence of divorce, a relatively happy population, and a wealth of bars and restaurants to meet and mingle, the website stated. All of those numbers were boiled down to rankings, released just in time for Valentine's Day.

Those looking to find Mr. or Mrs. Right should plan a trip to Texas, home to two cities in the top five. San Antonio pulled in the No. 1 spot and Austin took the No. 3 spot. Milwaukee came in second place.

Hartford, Conn., and Columbus, Ohio, also ranked higher than Atlanta.

Still, 16th out of 50 isn't too bad, right? The 50th spot went to Jacksonville,
