7 Stages is a beautiful facility that presents a diverse variety of shows. Lovers of art beware; one could easily become entranced by the beauty filling this theatre.
7 Stages was started in 1978 by a group of artists who began an experimental theatre. In 1995, 7 Stages purchased and renovated it's current home. The renovation from a movie theatre to a live theatre venue included new sound and lighting systems for the main stage theatre. Through that transformation, 7 Stages became a beautiful two-theatre facility with a lobby gallery and cafe in Atlanta's Little Five Points neighborhood.
7 Stages presents a variety of productions, from contemporary to classical, for patrons to choose. The lobby in and of itself is a sight to see with rotating exhibitions showcasing local artists. While 7 Stages has been known to be involved with major international plays, it is also a theatre truly in touch with the surrounding community.
