ATLANTA - Atlanta is home to a myriad of fashions -- from skinny jeans to seersucker suits. But one men's magazine says that's not so hot. GQ magazine is ranking Atlanta number 17 on the list of worst dressed cities.
FOX 5's Julia Harding hit the streets looking for fashion victims who helped put Atlanta on the list.
When it comes to fashion, apparently Atlanta men rank among the nation's worst.
"I think that's ridiculous," said Jim Todd.
GQ magazine lists men in Georgia's largest city as the 17th worst dressed in America.
Ron Hutchens pointed to himself and said, "Look at me. I'm one of those 17."
"I think we should be higher than 17. I think Atlanta is a pretty fashionable town," remarked Chris Spear.
But according to fashion writers who've scanned the globe, the ATL's fashion faux pas include ill-fitting blazers, logo t-shirts and pleated pants.
When Spear was asked if he looked fashionable, he replied, "Well, look at me. I think I do okay," said Spear.
While most men we spotted seem to agree with the pleated pants look, some like Jim Todd, do not.
"Years ago I was in fashion -- worked for the Macy's corporation. Some would say that's very old fashioned but I've always dressed very preppy," said Todd.
Some men in Atlanta want to make up their own fashion rules and will even use the weather as good reason.
"In hot weather they're loose. It's really nice. You got hot humidity pants. So really the guys wearing flat front pants should be jealous," said Hutchens.
Of the 40 cities in the survey, GQ ranked Boulder, Colorado as the worst dressed.
