Going out on a date in a recession can be a challenge, and according to Match.com, Atlanta is among the cheapest U.S. cities for a romantic night out.
The online-dating service evaluated the price of a casual dinner and a pair of movie tickets in various U.S. cities.
It placed Atlanta at No. 11 among the 25 cities it evaluated.
Match.com ranked Pittsburgh as the cheapest place for a romantic evening, followed by Detroit, Sacramento, Phoenix, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Tampa, Orlando, Houston, Charlotte, and Denver.
At the other extreme was budget-busting Los Angeles, with San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Dallas almost as pricey for a night out.
Match.com said its typical date in low-cost Pittsburgh runs $77.80; in L.A. it's $126.06. It didn't provide Atlanta's price range.
